Welcome to the beta

You're in. Here's everything you need in one place - what you've got, how long you've got it, and how to tell me what's broken.

What your seat includes

• The full parts library - every base, visor, ear, cheek, top, back, faceplate and greeble in the catalog.
• Print-ready export: single-colour STL and multi-colour 3MF, so a helmet can come off the plate already coloured.
• 4K beauty renders and 4K / 60fps turntable video of anything you build.
• Five saved builds on your account, loadable from any machine you sign in on.

One thing worth knowing before you slice: every base is larger than a 256×256mm plate at 100% scale. Scale it down, or split it, or you'll find out the hard way an hour in.

Showing off your builds

Featuring the cohort's work is a big part of what this beta is for - the daily build features and the crowdfunding page both run on it.

Your setting right now: checking...

• While it's on, builds you make during the beta may appear on RangerWorx and Army of Won channels and on the crowdfunding page, credited to your callsign.
• You can switch it off any time on your account page. Switch it off and no further builds of yours get featured.
• Add your social handles on your account page and I'll tag you rather than just name you.
• This covers showing your build. Your exported files are never handed to anyone else.

The legal bit, in plain words

This is a summary for convenience. The Terms of Use are what actually govern your account - if the two ever disagree, the Terms win.

• What you make is yours to print. Your build is your arrangement of my parts. You own those choices; I still own the part library underneath.
• Personal, non-commercial use. Print them for yourself. Selling prints needs a tier that grants commercial rights, and a beta seat is not one.
• Don't redistribute the files. Exported STL and 3MF files are licensed to you. Passing them on, free or paid, isn't permitted under any tier.
• Don't share your access code or account. One seat, one person.
• Build things you have the right to build. Don't upload decal artwork you don't own, and be sensible about other people's intellectual property.
• You must be 13 or over, and under 18 you need a parent or guardian's permission.
• Beta software breaks. It's provided as-is - keep your own copies of anything you care about.
• Your data is yours. Download everything I hold on you, or delete your account outright, from the account page.

When your window closes

• The builder stops opening, and your saved builds go out of reach.
• Nothing is deleted. Your builds sit exactly where you left them, waiting for access to come back.
• Anything you already exported and downloaded is yours and stays on your machine.
• Access re-opens once the fixes coming out of this round are in and tested.

One ask before your days run out: print something and send me a photo. A real helmet off a real plate is worth more to this project than any render I can make, and it's the thing I most want to show off.
