Terms of Use & Copyright
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of RangerWorx (the “Service”), a web-based 3D armor and helmet builder operated by Army of Won (“Army of Won”, “we”, “us”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Beta Service
RangerWorx is provided as a limited, invitation-only beta. Access may be restricted, changed, suspended, or withdrawn at any time, and features may change or stop working without notice.
2. Eligibility & Age
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use the Service. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must read and agree to these Terms on your behalf, and is responsible for your use of the Service and for any charges incurred.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we hold information from a child under 13, we will delete that account and its data. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, contact us at intel@armyofwon.com and we will remove it.
3. Your Account
You need an account and a valid access code to use the Service during the beta. You agree to give accurate information, to keep your password secure, and not to share your account or access code with anyone else. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
4. Ownership & Intellectual Property
The Service — including the RangerWorx software and user interface, the 3D part library and all STL and other 3D model files, thumbnails, renders, text, and visual design — together with the “RangerWorx” and “Army of Won” names and logos, is the exclusive property of Army of Won and/or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. No ownership is transferred to you.
5. Limited License to You
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to (a) access and use the Service to assemble and configure models for your own personal, non-commercial use; and (b) 3D-print, for your own personal use, the model files you generate and export through the Service. This license grants you no rights in the underlying part library or software.
6. Restrictions
You may not, and may not permit others to:
- copy, download, scrape, harvest, extract, or otherwise obtain the 3D part library, STL files, thumbnails, or other assets, except via the Service’s own export function for your own personal prints;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code or structure of the software;
- reproduce, distribute, publicly display, host, sublicense, sell, rent, or otherwise make the Service, the part library, or any assets available to any third party;
- build, or help anyone build, a product or service that competes with or is derived from RangerWorx, its part library, or its software;
- use any robot, bot, scraper, or automated means to access the Service or its content;
- remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notice.
7. Your Exports
Models you export are licensed to you for your own personal, non-commercial use. Selling, distributing, or otherwise commercially exploiting exported model files, or physical prints made from them, is not permitted under a standard account.
Commercial use of physical prints — that is, selling objects you have printed yourself from your own exports — is available only on a subscription tier that expressly grants commercial rights, and only while that subscription is active. That grant covers physical prints only. It does not permit you to sell, share, or distribute the digital model files themselves, in any format, under any tier.
8. Sharing Your Builds
The Service may let you share a build you have assembled by publishing it to a link or to a public gallery (“Shared Content”). Sharing is entirely optional. Builds are private by default and stay private unless you choose to share them.
You keep ownership of your build. Your build is your arrangement of our parts — you own your creative choices in that arrangement; we continue to own the underlying part library, exactly as described in section 4.
When you choose to share a build, you grant Army of Won a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and adapt that Shared Content in order to:
- display it within the Service, including in any public gallery or shared link;
- feature it in Army of Won marketing and community material, including social media posts, videos, newsletters, and crowdfunding campaign material.
Where we feature your Shared Content, we will credit you by the callsign or social handle on your account, unless you ask us not to. This license is granted at the moment you share a build, not when you create your account.
8a. Beta participants — featuring your builds
This section applies only while you hold a beta seat, and only to builds you create during the beta. If you are not in the beta, it does not apply to you.
A beta seat is provided free of charge. In exchange, we ask to be able to show what the cohort makes — that showcase is a large part of what the beta is for. So, in addition to the licence above, you grant Army of Won a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, and adapt builds you create during the beta, and images, renders, and turntable video of them, in Army of Won and RangerWorx marketing and community material — including social media posts, videos, newsletters, and crowdfunding campaign material. Unlike section 8 above, this applies whether or not you publish the build to a share link.
This licence covers showing your build. It does not transfer ownership, and it does not permit us to distribute your exported model files to anyone — we do not do that, and section 7 already forbids it.
We will credit you by the callsign or social handle on your account, unless you ask us not to.
You can switch this off at any time. “Let Army of Won feature my builds” is a setting on your account page, and it is set from the answer you gave on your beta application. Switch it off and we will not feature any further builds of yours. As in section 8, material we had already published may remain in place, because we cannot always recall it once distributed — but if you want an existing post taken down, email us and we will honour reasonable requests.
You may unshare a build at any time, and you may delete your account (section 10). When you do, we will stop making new uses of that Shared Content and remove it from the Service. Material we published before that point — for example a social media post or a video that already features your build — may remain in place, because we cannot always recall it once distributed. If you want an existing post about your build taken down, contact us and we will honour reasonable requests.
You confirm that you have the right to share what you share, and that your Shared Content is not unlawful, hateful, harassing, obscene, or infringing of anyone else’s rights. We may remove Shared Content, or decline to feature it, at our discretion.
9. Privacy & Your Data
We collect only what the Service needs to work, and we tell you what each thing is for.
- Account details — your email address, password (stored only as a salted hash, never in readable form), name, callsign, and the access code used to sign up. Used to sign you in and to support you.
- Your builds — the parts, positions, colours, and scale that make up each saved build, and a thumbnail image of it. Stored so you can come back to your work.
- Setup details you choose to give us — such as your printer, nozzle size, slicer, units, experience level, what you build for, and country. Used to warn you when a model will not fit your printer, to set sensible defaults, and to decide what parts to make next. All of it is optional.
- Social handles you choose to give us — used only to credit you if we feature a build you shared.
- Basic activity — when you signed up, when you last signed in and last used the Service, and how many times. Used to understand whether the Service is working and to keep it secure.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
How long we keep it. We keep your account information for as long as your account is open. If you delete your account, we remove your data as described in section 10. We do not keep personal information indefinitely; anything no longer needed for the purposes above is deleted. Server and security logs are kept for a short period for fraud prevention and troubleshooting, and are not used to build a profile of you.
Your choices. You can view and change your details, including your setup information and social handles, at any time on your account page. You can unshare any build at any time. You can delete your account at any time (section 10). If you would like a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or want it corrected, email intel@armyofwon.com and we will respond within one month.
10. Deleting Your Account
You can delete your account yourself, at any time, from your account page. You do not need to email us and you do not need to give a reason.
Before you delete, download any saved builds you want to keep — deletion cannot be undone once it completes.
When you delete your account:
- your account is immediately deactivated — you are signed out, you can no longer sign in with it, and it stops appearing anywhere in the Service;
- all of your saved builds become inaccessible, and any share links you created stop working straight away;
- your account, your builds, your setup details, and your social handles are then permanently erased after 30 days.
The 30-day window is there to protect you. If you change your mind, signing in again within those 30 days restores your account and your builds exactly as they were. After 30 days the data is gone and cannot be recovered by you or by us.
Two things do not disappear when you delete. Files you have already exported and downloaded are yours and stay on your own computer. And material we published before you deleted — such as a social media post featuring a build you had shared — may remain, as explained in section 8.
We may keep a minimal record of the fact that an account existed and was deleted where we need it to meet a legal obligation, resolve a dispute, or prevent fraud or abuse. That record does not include your builds or your setup details.
11. Feedback
Any feedback, ideas, or suggestions you provide about the Service may be used by us without restriction or obligation to you.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that exported files will be suitable for printing or fit any particular person or use. You are responsible for evaluating any file before printing.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Army of Won will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, materials, or profits, arising from your use of the Service.
14. Suspension & Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time, and you may delete your account at any time as described in section 10.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why. If we terminate your access other than for breach of these Terms, you will have a reasonable opportunity to export your saved builds first.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change materially affects your rights — for example a change to how Shared Content may be used, or to how long we keep your data — we will give you notice by email or in the Service before it takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
